Mission Statement

At Shifting the Way You Think, our mission is to provide a place where healing starts in the body. We integrate nervous system regulation and somatic practices into every level of care so that real change isn't just talked about, it's felt.

Vision Statement

Our vision is a world where mental health care doesn't separate the mind from the body where every person has access to healing that is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and rooted in the wisdom of their own nervous system.

Core Values

Somatic Integration — We believe healing lives in the body as much as the mind

Accessibility — Quality care should be available to everyone, regardless of where they are in their journey

Trauma-Informed Practice — Every interaction is grounded in safety, trust, and respect

Whole-Person Care — We treat the full human being, not just symptoms

Community — Healing happens in connection, not isolation

Clinical Excellence — We hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethical, evidence-based practice

What's the Difference Between PHP and IOP?

Both programs meet Monday through Friday and include group therapy, nervous system regulation practices, and lunch. The difference is in hours and intensity.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP) is the higher level of care. It runs 9:30am–2:30pm and is designed for people who need more intensive daily support to stabilize.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP) runs 9:30am–12:30pm and is a strong fit for people who need more than once-a-week therapy but are ready for a lighter structure — or who are stepping down from PHP.

Both PHP and IOP clients participate in groups together. IOP clients complete their day at lunch; PHP clients continue into the afternoon.
